UPDATED Best Practice Statement 2022: Holistic management of venous leg ulceration (second edition)
In partnership with Wounds UK, L&R and thought leaders across the leg ulcer space came together to update the original leg ulcer bible (Best Practice Statement: Holistic Management of Venous Leg Ulceration 2016).
The updated document includes new myths and truths, the National Wound Care Strategy Programme (NWCSP, 2020) Lower Limb Recommendations and updates to the lower limb wound pathway (Atkin and Tickle, 2016; Wounds UK, 2016) to make it relevant for 2022 and beyond.
It also includes reflect and be bold statements, encouraging the nursing workforce to be confident in their decisions when treating patients with venous leg ulcers.
