On Friday 1st March L&R attended the JWC Awards at the Banking Hall in London. The JWC Awards seeks to recognise and celebrate the individuals going above and beyond in delivering care.
This year L&R had the amazing opportunity to sponsor two categories; The Compression Therapy for Venous and Lymphatic Disorders Award and The Professional Education Award and we would like to congratulate all of the shortlisted nominees in these categories for their hard work and for going above and beyond for their patients.
First off we had The Compression Therapy for Venous and Lymphatic Disorders Award and in third place was: The Tissue Viability & Lymphoedema Services at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.
In second place was the Solihull Primary Care Leg Ulcer Assessment Hubs.
And the winner was… Southern Health Tissue Viability Team at Southern Health Foundation Trust, congratulations!
Then we had The Professional Education Award and in joint third place was:
Karen Ousey at the University of Huddersfield and the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Institute, Ottawa, ON Canada.
In second place was Georgina Passmore, The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust.
And the winner was… Jane Wigg, Lymphoedema Training Academy, congratulations Jane!
